Hello again...

Well, it seems that I fell off the face of blog-world for a while for simple lack something to say. I'm still not feeling particularly inspired, but procrastination is the mother of all creativity. Here's a few things that have been on my mind lately:

Good friends are priceless
I think my friendships have gotten me through the past three months. It's been a long, arduous quarter/year, and without people to study with, get over-priced coffee drinks with, laugh and cry with, and exercise with I would have gone around the bend of crazy-land long ago. Having people who know you well (and like you anyways) is truly a gift from God.

Shamelessly Reading "Brain Candy" is Pivotal to a Sound Theological Outlook
Nothing like putting down that tome on Greek vocabulary and sitting back with a Janet Evanovich novel. Helps me not to take myself too seriously. I've also been reading a hilarious book called "Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress" by Susie Gilman that is a side-splitter.

Try to appreciate the basics
I love our apartment. It's messy. It's overpriced. But is has air-conditioning, and our cat can live here with us. The walls are sound proof. We have our own mailbox. People with trailers are not moving into our back yard. (That was the last apartment, which started out as a duplex and turned into an illegally zoned trailer park at the behest of our evil slum/landlord. But we don't live there any more. Yay.)

Why am I writing this? Not sure. I think attempts to keep things simple will help me to not get upset about the more complicated things in my life right now! Maybe.
